Circa 1900, Arts and Crafts mahogany open bookcase with makers label of ‘W. Walker & Sons Manufacturing, Bunhill Road, London’ to the back. With elaborate cornice of a wraparound gallery with turned balustrades above a concave panel with scratch carving, flower heads and leaves. The top section has 2 sections and 8 adjustable shelves separated by ebonised pilasters. The back panels of the top are tongued, grooved and polished, and the shelf fronts are mahogany with ebonised canted corners. The bottom section has a pair of elaborate mahogany doors with 9 fielded panels and faux cast brass strap hinges. It all stands on an enclosed plinth.
